Tulsa's District 8 is a reflection of Tulsa's character. This district is a home to thousands of families, hundreds of small businesses, dozens of churches, numerous schools & parks, two major hospitals and TCC's South campus. What this tells me is, at over 18 square miles, Tulsa's District 8 is home to community, family, faith, education and entrepreneurship; the very things this city needs in order to prosper in any economic climate.<br /><br />My name is Paul Wizikowski and my goal is to see these things flourish. My goal is to see our children and our families grow strong, to work hard, to live safe and be happy. My goal is to reinvent how leadership serves. And I intend to do so as your city counselor.<br /><br />OPENNESS REINVENTED<br />To me public service requires constant and open communication, a transparency that many politicians talk about but few achieve. To do so I intend to take advantage of the emerging social networks to establish a place where we the people of District 8 can have a public conversation for anyone to join or listen in on. The truth is I want to hear from you. I want you to be able to hear from me and I want you to hear each other. TulsaD8.com is the connection to these social networks. My commitment to you is to pursue and fight for your ability to make your life better. My commitment is not to make everyone happy with me but to do what I feel is just and fair for all and to do so openly and honestly. In the end I hope to get to know you and that you get to know me.
